COVID-19 at The Continuum

Safety of clients and staff is our top priority at The Continuum, and we are following CDC guidelines to help minimize the transmission of COVID-19. We ask that you please stay home if you are feeling ill or have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Face masks/coverings are required inside our building for all individuals age 2 and over. Please call ahead or stop at the front desk to discuss exceptions.

Rehab Therapies:

  • All staff are wearing masks and frequently sanitizing/washing their hands.

  • All surfaces and toys are disinfected between use.

  • All staff and clients are given a temperature check and health screening upon arrival.

  • Skip the waiting room!

    • Text the front desk when you arrive and your therapist will come get you or your child from your car​.

  • Therapy spaces have been adjusted to allow adequate distance between patients.

  • We are limiting appointments to only 1 additional family member to minimize number of people in the therapy spaces.

  • Telehealth visits are offered for speech, occupational, and physical therapy as insurance and diagnosis allows.

Regenerations Adult Day Club:

  • All staff are wearing PPE (face masks, gloves when needed)

  • Staff members of ReGenerations are required to wash their hands several times every hour as well as after every interaction with a member

  • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance of ReGenerations as well as throughout The Club (front room, office, kitchen, back room)

  • Staff are disinfecting high touch surfaces at least every hour (tables, chairs, counters, door knobs, light switches, toilets, sinks, grab bars, etc.)

  • Facility is fully stocked with PPE and cleaning/disinfecting product

  • Social distancing is implemented by removal of 50% of the chairs. Chairs are spaced out 3-6 feet from each other. Only 2 members are sat to a table at lunch and during activities.

  • ReGenerations has a non-contact thermometer

  • Meals are provided and delivered each day by Washoe County Human Services Agency – Senior Services. All food and hydration are served with gloves.

  • ALL visitors, staff, and members are screened when entering the facility (temperature checks, symptoms survey)

  • All staff have also completed COVID-19 specific training.

Early Intervention:

  • Majority of services are being provided as virtual services at this time due to a state-mandated hold on face-to-face visits. We are beginning to phase back into in-person sessions as permitted by the state.

Carousel Childcare Center:

  • All staff and children are given a temperature check and health screening upon arrival.

  • Increased frequency of handwashing and toy disinfecting.

  • A Hand hygiene station is set up at the entrance of the facility, please clean your child’s hands before they enter the classroom. Parents can use the hand sanitizer prior to signing in

  • Cover mouth and nose with a mask when unable to social distance. Masks are not required for the children.

  • We require sick children and staff to stay home.

Lifestyle Fitness Program:

  • All staff and clients are given a temperature check and health screening upon arrival.

  • Social distancing implemented as able.
